Elevated Water Storage – Johnson County, KS
There were two elevated water storage tower located in the United States of America (USA) in the state of Kansas.
Our contract was with the owner Water District No. 1 of Johnson County, USA. The projects were listed under 1 MIG Elevated Water Tower (Lackman) and 2 MIG Elevated Water Tower (Renner). The consulting engineering firm was Black & Veatch of Kansas City, KS. MISCO Inspection provided detailed plant inspection from the Blastech shop in Brantford, ON., Canada. Then when completed our inspector provided full time CWB Inspection for on-site inspection services. Then we provide detailed NACE Certified Coatings Inspection for the duration of the project.
The contractor was required to field prepare the weld areas and mechanical damaged areas to meet the surface cleanliness of SSPC-SP10 (Near White) exterior surfaces and SSPC-SP-5 (White Metal) blast on the interior surfaces. Full third party inspection was completed by MISCO Inspection throughout the duration of the contract. The project was completed on schedule meeting the requirements of the specifications.
Elevated Potable Water Tower – Belleville, ON
The project is located in East-Central Ontario, Canada. MISCO Inspection & Consulting provided the contract administration, specifications, recommendations (low bid), NACE Inspection and Warranty Review.
MISCO Inspection & Consulting provided; Project Management, Specifications, Third Party NACE Inspection, and warranty inspection for the duration of the project.
The project consisted of 750,000 I.G. Weld Steel Multi-Legged Potable Water Storage Tower. The specifications called for full removal of the existing coating, lead abatement, surface preparation (SSPC-SP10 – Near White Blast) quality, Ameron (Inorganic Zinc, Epoxy, Urethane) coating system be applied to all exterior structural steel surfaces.
Specification called for full OH&S Safety Upgrades, Signage and illumination. The project was completed on time and on budget.
Elevated Potable Water Tower – Niagara Falls, ON
MISCO completed the follow for the Niagara Fall Portable Water Tower:
- Exterior Class 1a Containment
- Full Removal
- Internal Repairs and Touch ups
- Safety Upgrades
- Remove/Re-install Antenna (25 units)
- NACE Certified Inspection
- Quality Assurance
- Project Management
The Niagara Falls Elevated Portable Water Tower project was completed over the winter 2013/2014.
Elevated Potable Water Tower – Chesterville, ON
The project is located in Eastern Ontario, Canada. MISCO provided the contract administration, specifications, recommendations (low bid), NACE Inspection and Warranty Review.
MISCO Inspection & Consulting provide Third Party NACE Inspection services for the duration of the project. The project consisted of 125,000 I.G. Weld Steel Multi-Legged Potable Water Storage Tower.
The specifications called for overcoating the existing coating, surface preparation (SSPC-SP11) quality, ICI/Devoe (Penetrating Sealer, Epoxy, Urethane) coating system be applied to all exterior structural steel surfaces. Specification called for full OH&S Safety Upgrades, Signage and illumination.
OCWA Agency and Township of North Dundas requested proposals, condition assessment, specifications, tendering, project management, inspection and warranty inspection of the project.
The contractor JDCMI – Cambridge provided full overcoating and engineered safety upgrades and excellent quality of work on the project. The project was completed on time and on budget.
